Dezcal™ uses a reduced PH, citric acid based, biodegradable, nontoxic descaler that helps dissolve calcium deposits and lime scale buildup. Dezcal™ is easy to use. Each box contains four packets of descaler. Mineral deposits can collect throughout your coffee maker and reduce its ability to heat water and reduce the brewing temperature. Regular maintenance will keep your coffeemaker running like new.
Dezcal™ is safe with a variety of home coffee makers (i.e. Keurig, Tassimo, etc.), espresso machines, kettles, and pod and capsule machines. This product is NSF certified for metal compatibility. Water hardness in your area will dictate if regular cleanings are required on a more frequent or less frequent schedule.
For Use on Home Beverage Equipment – Coffee Brewers, Espresso Machines, Pod Machines, and Kettles
- Dissolve 1 packet of powder per 32 oz (1 L) of warm water before adding to machine (some stirring required).
- Pour dissolved solution into water tank of machine.
- Turn machine on and run brew cycle collecting solution.
- Discard solution. Rinse all parts and repeat with clean water twice.
